The “Ethnic Minority Youth．Counter-Terrorism Dodgeball Experience”, jointly organised by the Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories South, the Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) and the Hong Kong Dodgeball Association, successfully concluded its final event at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on 2025-05-18 (Sunday).

This event combined sports with counter-terrorism and anti-crime education, and attracted over 100 ethnic minority youngsters from various backgrounds. Miss MAK Mei Kuen, Alice, SBS, JP, the Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs attended as the guest of honour, offering her support and encouragement to the participants.

The event effectively integrated the response principle of dodgeball with the emergency response promoted by the ICTU, conveyed in the phrase “Run, Hide, Report”.

During the event, ICTU also conducted a “Guided Emergency Response Demonstration” in which participants were invited to demonstrate how to apply the advisories of “Run, Hide, Report” and “Three basic skills on emergency preparedness” in the face of terrorist attacks or violent incidents.
