The Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) has once again partnered with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) to launch the “Safe Community Plus+”, aiming at delivering counter-terrorism (CT) messages to the community and schools through a variety of mini games. 

The Commissioner of Police Mr CHOW Yat-ming and the Executive Director of the HKFYG, Ms HSU Siu-man officiated at the Kick-off Ceremony held at the HKFYG Leadership Institute on November 11.  The Institute, formerly known as the “Fanling Magistracy”, has a history of over 60 years and has witnessed the evolution of Hong Kong’s rule of law.

Following the ceremony, the “Spot and Report” Colouring Competition Award Presentation took place.  Students showcased their creativity by integrating CT elements into their winning designs, promoting the adoption of the “Spot and Report” principle from a young age.  Around 100 students and parents attended the event, where they had the opportunity to experience firsthand a wide array of activities on the “Safe Community Plus+”.
