“Safe Community Roadshow 2026” Successfully Concluded
The Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU) successfully held the “Safe Community Roadshow 2026” over two consecutive weekends on January 10–11 and 17–18 at Citywalk and Olympian City. The event attracted nearly 14,000 members of the public.
This year’s Roadshow featured six interactive game stations and multiple photo spots, combining educational and practical elements to encourage the public to acquire counter-terrorism (CT) and emergency preparedness knowledge in an engaging way. Through these diverse experiences, participants gained a deeper understanding of key CT messages — such as “Spot and Report”, “Run, Hide, Report” and “Three Basic Skills on Emergency Preparedness”, while further enhancing their security awareness and emergency response capabilities to support the “Safe Community” initiative.
A new highlight this year was the “Spot and Report” instant newspaper photo booth, where members of the public could take commemorative photos after completing the activities and become the “Safe Community” cover figure. The interactive booth received an enthusiastic response from participants.
ICTU appreciates the support and active participation of the community, and hopes to strengthen public awareness of CT and emergency preparedness by organising more community activities.
